Information and Communication Technologies

Main mission of the Working Group introduced in 2010 is to inform all stakeholders in an effective manner that information and communication Technologies is one of the priority subjects for Turkey and the group engages in activities from this perspective. In this sense, the positive impacts of international companies on the development of the sector are also handled.

The report titled "National Broadband Plan: Recommendations on the Path to Achieving Turkey’s Broadband Targets", one of the most important studies by the group, was published in 2017 and the recommendations indicated within the report were considered as a significant input to the National Broadband Strategy Action Plan (UGSEP). In this framework, UGSEP is closely monitored and the Working Group actively participates in the Working Groups formed in accordance with the Plan.

Ongoing activities of the group include, among others, activities performed within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data in cooperation with YASED's Laws and Regulations Working Group as well as the activities carried out regarding the Communiqué of Information and Communication Security Measures published by the Presidency and the Law Amending the Digital Service Tax No. 7194 and Some Laws in cooperation with YASED's Taxes and Incentives Working Group.  Opinions and suggestions of our members were shared with the relevant institutions and organizations within the scope of all these activities.
