Employment and Qualified Workforce

In order to increase the competitiveness of Turkey, the Employment and Qualified Workforce Working Group handle the employment and labour policies from a holistic approach. In this context, in 2019 as in previous years with the extensive participation of members, the Group brought important matters affecting working life to the agenda including;unemployment, informal employment, the relation between workforce market and training, regional disparities, disadvantaged groups, workforce costs, bureaucratic processes, flexible working policies, compliance with technological changes, corporate structures, international commitments and liabilities.

In this regard, the Group was shared opinions for the National Employment Strategy (2014-2023) and Action Plan (2020-2023), attended to the preparatory meetings held by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services. Besides, we actively participated to the Working Life Working Group under YOIKK. Suggestions were shared to develop and transform human resources competence supporting digital transformation and responding to the needs of investors especially in order to strengthen the cooperation infrastructure between the companies working on innovative technologies and the manufacturing industry.

The Working Group work on women, regulations, occupational health and safety, technical personnel and disabled persons and continue to have a close relationship with public institutions.
