Chairperson of YASED Participated in the YOIKK Meeting

The meeting of the Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment (YOIKK) was held in the Presidential Complex on December 6, 2019 under the presidency of Vice President Fuat OKTAY and with the participation of YOIKK-member Ministers who have duties and responsibilities with regard to investments as well as the Chairs of NGOs representing the private sector.

During the meeting where YASED Chairperson Ayşem Sargın delivered a speech, activities regarding the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index studied since October were discussed.

Sargın stressed the following points in her speech: "It is very important and gratifying to see that Turkey rose by 10 rows to the 33rd rank in the Ease of Doing Business Index by the World Bank. We would like to thank all contributing NGOs including us and also our government in this respect. One of the most important factors for the economic development of our country and thus the improvement of its welfare level is to boost the quantity and quality of private sector investments. From this standpoint, we attach importance to the rise in the Ease of Doing Business Index. Given the capital needs of the Turkish economy, we all know the importance of international investments for increasing investments. Following the advances in the Ease of Doing Business Index, our task is to help ensure that this improvement in the index is reflected on investments, especially FDI.”
