Second meeting of the Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment in Turkey (YOIKK) was held at the Presidential Complex on 8 August 2019 under the chairmanship of Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and with the participation of Ministers who are YOİKK members having duties and responsibilities regarding the investments and of the Presidents of Non-Governmental Organizations which are the representatives of private sector.

Subjects on improving the investment environment were addressed and a detailed YOIKK Action Plan regarding the studies to be carried out by YOIKK in the period of 2019-2020 was acknowledged at the meeting..

Action Plan included totally 35 actions of 8 different working groups including Business Life, Tax Financing and Incentives, Investment Place Environment and Reconstruction Permits, R&D Value-Added Production and Certification, Trade, Energy and Mining, Investment Environment Framework Subjects and Infrastructure. A substantial part of these actions was composed of the problems and suggestions of YASED’s member companies.

Among the outstanding topics in the Action Plan, there are issues such as preparing a framework legislation for the protection of private investments and investors, reassessment of incentive system through a holistic approach, increasing the global and regional accessibility of Turkey in terms of International Direct Investments (FDI) and strengthening its geopolitical advantage with its logistic infrastructure, improving and transforming the human resources competencies which support digital transformation and meeting the needs of investors.
